Overkruin’s ATKV Youth Branch provides learners with an opportunity to be innovative project leaders and actively develop leadership skills. The active ATKV Youth Branch of Overkruin makes a big difference in the school and the community and is one of only three youth branches in Pretoria. Overkruin’s creative ATKV Youth Branch takes on brand-new projects annually and the branch has received several awards as the most active branch in Pretoria. Overkruin’s ATKV Youth Branch has won an award for the unique Heritage Day celebration where learners discovered and appreciated each other’s different cultures.
Overkruin’s ATKV Youth Branch typically organizes the following projects for an exciting year:
- A dance event where Ovies can dance and socialize with their friends until late at night.
- Human Rights Day is celebrated with Barefoot Day. General Knowledge Quiz.
- Outreach activities on Youth Day.
- A refreshing tea garden for Women’s Day.
