Despite this challenging time, Hoërskool Overkruin remains blessed and we have seized every moment and opportunity with dedication, using it to the best of our abilities. Every page in this yearbook showcases the potential, courage, and actions with which the Ovies tackle challenges, wearing smiles on their faces.

Abba concludes their song, “I still have faith in you,” with the words:

“We stand on a summit, humble and grateful to have survived.”

As Hoërskool Overkruin, we stand humbly on the summit of the Magaliesberg, looking back with gratitude at two years of protection, blessings, and favor that we have continuously received. We have survived, and therefore we live with gratitude! We would like to express our heartfelt condolences to every parent who has lost a loved one during this time, whether it be a family member, relative, or precious friend. We share in your sorrow, and we pray for new strength, inspiration, and solace for everyone who has gone through the crucible of trials and loss.

Ovieland consists of a well-oiled partnership between parents, students, and teachers. Without any of these components, there cannot be a Hoërskool Overkruin. We pay tribute to our Ovie parents who support, encourage, and discipline their children. We salute a governing body under the leadership of Mr. PW Hattingh, who supports, inspires, and believes in us. We are excited about every Ovie who seizes opportunities, grows, and gives wings to their dreams – you make education meaningful.

Matrics 2021 – ROYAL CENTURY BRIGADE – you are at one of the most adventurous places in your lives. Arina de Witt describes this place as a treasure chest full of dreams, and she sings the following:
